The Session Experience

I want you to feel comfortable and supported when you come in. Here are a few things to know ahead of time so you can arrive feeling prepared.

Preparing for Your Reiki Session

If this is your first appointment, please fill out the form included in your booking confirmation.

Arrive on time so we can use the full session for your care.

Wear loose comfortable clothing so you can settle in easily.

Please avoid alcohol or recreational drugs for at least 24 hours before your session.

Drink water before and after your session.

A lighter meal beforehand can help you feel more comfortable during the session.

What You Might Notice During Your Session

Everyone experiences Reiki differently. There is no right way for a session to feel.

You might notice:

  • warmth coolness or gentle tingling

  • a sense of calm or relaxation

  • emotions coming up like tears laughter or a deep breath

  • images memories or thoughts passing through

  • or very little at all

Some sessions are subtle. Some are not. Both are normal.

After Your Session

You may feel a little different after your session or you may feel mostly the same. Both are okay.

To support yourself afterward you might:

  • drink water

  • take some quiet time if you can

  • eat nourishing grounding food

  • notice anything that shifts over the next few days

There’s nothing you need to do perfectly here. Just pay attention to yourself.

A Note

Reiki is a supportive practice and is not a replacement for medical care. If you have health concerns please also work with your physician.
