Session FAQ
Preparing for a Reiki Session
Here are a few simple things you can do to get the most out of your session:
If it’s your first appointment, please fill out the form provided in your booking confirmation.
Arrive on time so we can use your full session for what matters most—your healing.
Wear loose, comfy clothing that helps you feel relaxed.
Avoid alcohol or recreational drugs for at least 24 hours before your session to support the energy flow.
Drink plenty of water before and after your session to help your body integrate the energy work.

What You Might Experience During The Session
Reiki works differently for everyone—there’s no right or wrong way to feel it.
You might notice:
Warmth or a cool sensation in your body
Gentle tingling
A deep sense of calm or relaxation
Emotions rising to the surface—tears, laughter, or even just a heavy sigh
Colours, images, or memories coming to mind
Or... nothing at all—and that’s okay too
Just because you don’t feel something doesn’t mean the energy isn’t working. Reiki moves where it’s needed, and each session is different. Trust that whatever shows up (or doesn’t) is part of the process.
Tip: Avoid a heavy meal beforehand so you’re more comfortable and relaxed during your session.
After the session
To support your healing and integration after your session, you might want to:
Drink lots of water to help the energy settle and move through your system
Take a little quiet time, if you can, to reflect or rest
Nourish your body with something grounding and healthy
Be gentle with yourself—sometimes the effects of Reiki unfold over the next few days
