The Session Experience

I want you to feel grounded, supported and comfortable from the moment you arrive. Here are a few things that can help you get the most out of your session.

Preparing for Your Reiki Session

  • If it’s your first appointment, please fill out the form provided in your booking confirmation

  • Arrive on time so we can spend your full session focused on what matters most: you.

  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing that helps you relax.

  • Skip alcohol or recreational drugs for at least 24 hours before your session to support the flow of energy.

  • Drink plenty of water before and after your session to help your body integrate the work.

Tip: a lighter meal beforehand will help you feel more comfortable during the session.

What You Might Notice During Your Session

Reiki works differently for everyone and there’s no “right” or “wrong” way to experience it.

You might feel:

  • Warmth, coolness or gentle tingling in your body

  • A deep sense of calm and relaxation

  • Emotions surfacing — tears, laughter or a heavy sigh of release

  • Colours, images or memories moving through your mind

  • Or nothing at all — and that’s okay too

Even if you don’t feel anything obvious, the energy is still moving where it’s needed. Each session is unique and whatever shows up (or doesn’t) is part of your process.

After Your Session

Healing doesn’t stop when you leave. It continues to unfold in the hours and days after. To support yourself, you might want to:

  • Drink lots of water to help the energy settle and move through your system

  • Take some quiet time, if you can, to reflect or rest

  • Nourish your body with grounding foods

  • Be gentle with yourself — notice what shifts in the days to come

A Note

Reiki is a complementary practice, not a substitute for medical care. If you have health concerns, please also connect with your physician.
